SmartFOIL radiant barrier is unlike traditional mass insulations like blown-in and batt cellulose/fiberglass. It blocks 95% of radiant heat, significantly reducing the amount of heat that enters a home when installed in the attic space or as a house wrap. It is also suitable for use in barns, metal buildings, and poultry houses. When combined with existing mass insulation, SmartFOIL can greatly improve the comfort of your home and help you save big on your electric bills. The product is effective in both hot and cold environments.

SmartFOIL is non-toxic, non-carcinogenic, fiber-free, easy to install, unaffected by humidity, maintenance-free, and does not promote the growth of fungi or bacteria. It also does not support nesting by rodents or insects. It has a Class A / Class 1 fire rating (ASTM E-84) and meets fire and smoke requirements for most local, state, and federal building codes. Additionally, it meets or exceeds all ASTM C1313 standards with a Class A fire rating (E84 with E2599 mounting). The engineered foil surface is corrosion-resistant according to D3310 due to a proprietary clear coating.

This industrial/commercial-grade radiant barrier is tear and puncture-proof while still being easy to cut with utility scissors. Both sides of the barrier reflect 95% of radiant heat, helping to pay for itself by reducing heating costs in winter and cooling costs in summer. It blocks 95% of heat radiating from the underside of a hot roof, resulting in significant savings on utility bills.

Installation is simple, whether in existing homes or new constructions. The barrier can be stapled to the bottom of rafters and over the attic floor, and it is frequently used as house wrap for additional insulation. Each roll covers 500 square feet, measuring 4 feet x 125 feet. The breathable, perforated, double-sided, reinforced engineered foil ensures maximum effectiveness in controlling radiant heat.
